Rex — Setup & Forwarding

Traditional voicemail guarantee: Rex saves every recording to storage before AI runs. You always get a playable message in your inbox — even if transcription or AI fails.

1. Your Rex number

Add your Twilio number in Admin → Phone lines (E.164, e.g. +15551234567). Paste it below for forwarding codes.

3. Forwarding codes

Dial from your cell phone. Replace the number below with your Rex digits (Verizon uses digits only).

4. iPhone — disable Live Voicemail

Settings → Phone → Live Voicemail → Off. Otherwise calls may not reach Rex.

5. Twilio webhooks

In Twilio Console → Phone Numbers → your Rex number → Configure:

Voice URL: https://YOUR-SITE/api/twilio/voice (HTTP POST)
Messaging URL: https://YOUR-SITE/api/twilio/mms (HTTP POST) — for photos/files callers text after a voicemail

Copy exact URLs from Admin → Phone lines after you set your public base URL.

6. Test

From another phone, call your cell, decline or let it ring out. You should hear the Rex greeting, not carrier voicemail.

Open inbox within a minute of leaving a test message.
